Farrell Kramer is the founder and president of farrell kramer communications, a public relations firm built upon the firm conviction that it is the power of ideas combined with the reach of technology that drives all effective communications.

Kramer is also host of the podcast talking communications with farrell kramer, which focuses on all aspects of communications.

Kramer began his professional career as a journalist. His final position in the field was with The Associated Press, where he was an investigative reporter on the AP's Special Assignment Team. There, he worked on a number of interesting projects including an award-winning, five-part national series looking at illegal child labor in America. Other major stories included a computer-assisted expose on Navy oil spills and an investigation of firearms used in the Jonesboro, Ark., schoolyard massacre.

Prior to that, Kramer was a financial writer with Investor's Business Daily, where he wrote about management issues as well as transportation and manufacturing.

Upon leaving journalism, Kramer joined the public relations firm Robinson Lerer & Montgomery, where he was a senior vice president implementing programs for overall corporate positioning, financial communications, investor relations, crisis communications, transactions and executive communications. Kramer worked with clients of all sizes, from large public companies to start-ups.

Kramer graduated from Northwestern University with a master's degree in Journalism and the University of Chicago with a bachelor of arts in Far Eastern Studies. Between the two, he spent a year living in rural Japan teaching English as part of the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. Kramer is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute and the Public Relations Society of America.
