Introducing ... NewsNosh!

I'd like to invite all FKCBlog readers to visit a new site we've been working on for a little while now:

NewsNosh.

NewsNosh is an online business news source directory that is searchable by industry and type of entry.  If you're looking for blogs on investing, for example, you simply choose "investing" under category on the homepage and "blog" under type.  The database will return a list immediately.

There are more full-featured searches in the "news sources" menu as well.  However, NewsNosh is more than just a directory.  It is a user-contributed directory.  If you have a blog, podcast, news site or newsletter you enjoy -- or if you have your own to promote -- you can join NewsNosh and submit it to the directory.  It's free and quick.

We've created NewsNosh because it seems like there's not much available if you're interested in business news and want to find all the sites, blogs and podcasts related to your own field.

This is designed for reporters, PR folks, IR folks, students, businesspeople, entrepreneurs ... really anyone who wants to follow the latest in a given field.

One powerful tool is NewsNosh's RSS feeds.  There's a feed for every category and type of news source.  So you can subscribe to those areas you care about, and when someone submits a new source that is relevant -- the entry will come into your feedreader!

There are a host of community features in NewsNosh as well: personal blogs, discussion forums, voting and commenting on news sources and online chat.

If you're interested, please drop by.  Sign up (you must be a member to enjoy most of the community features).  And enjoy!  We're still in beta and really just now rolling out.  So your news source contributions will help build NewsNosh into a truly great resource.  We've been working hard to fill the database ourselves, but it will take a community to make it a living, breathing entity.

If you see me online there, please say Hi.  I'm known as NewsNosher on the site.
